I’m Lindsay, a Gestalt psychotherapist, offering a warm and inclusive space to explore the questions you have about yourself and your life and receive the support you need.
The Gestalt approach is creative and based on experimentation and cocreation. Together, we can try out new approaches and different ways of being. If you have never tried therapy before, you can feel comfortable being received, no matter what you bring to the table.

How It Works
First, fill out my Request for an Appointment Form below.
From there, I will reach out for a free 15 minute consult and we can see if we’re a good fit—no pressure, no commitment.
Then, begin your sessions.
In a safe, supportive space, we’ll work together at your pace. Sessions can either be virtual or in-person depending on your preference.
Finally, start feeling more like you!

Humans are relational beings, and we need to connect in order to thrive. But connection can be hard if we have lived only to survive.
When we exist in survival mode, even our hopes, dreams, and desires can feel out of reach, making it even harder to share those feelings with others or create a connection.

But... do you have any experience of struggling with mental health issues yourself?
Personally I have a long history with depression and anxiety, with varying degrees of severity over the years. I have lived experience as a support for addiction, grief, relationship transitions, c-PTSD, sexual dysfunction and trauma.
Are your services covered by OHIP or extended health benefits?
Psychotherapy is generally not covered by OHIP. At this time, because I am still a student therapist my services are not covered by extended health benefits through your employer. That is the reason I am offering low cost sessions.
What it Gestalt Therapy?
Gestalt therapists believe that every session is a co created experience between the client and the therapist. We both bring our full selves to the meeting. As humans we are meant to live in relation to others, in a Gestalt therapy session we work together to explore the past, present and future. It is an inherently creative process so you may find we incorporate movement, art, and play. It is all an experiment to find out what feels good and what fits.

Do I need to prepare for my sessions?
There is no prep work required on your part. It is good to take some time to self reflect prior to our first meeting. Think about what you want to prioritize and what it takes for you to feel comfortable sharing. You may not find the answers to these right away, and that's ok too.
How many sessions will I need? How long will this process take?
This is not easily answered. Life long beliefs and traumas take time to come to the surface. It is often important to move slowly. Therapy is a commitment to yourself. Approaching it with patience and gentleness will bring the long lasting results that rushing and forcing have not.
What is the cost?
At this time I am offering 'low cost therapy' at $80 per session. A session is 50 minutes in length.
Fees are payable by etransfer immediately following the session.
